Water Analysis

Chemical and microbiological analysis on different types of water, from human consumption to the discharges, up to the monitoring of water systems and the search for Legionella.

A single laboratory for the control of the water

Water quality is an essential aspect for the protection of health, environment and production processes. GEO LAB provides a laboratory accredited to ISO/IEC 17025 for the analysis of chemical and microbiological analyses on different types of water, including drinking water, wastewater, surface, groundwater, and process.

The water quality must be assessed in relation to its source, the intended use and the characteristics of the system or process in which it is used.

The activities include water intended for human consumption, municipal and industrial wastewater, process water, surface and groundwater, as well as the types of water intended for specific uses.

Analysis and controls on the water

We perform checks on water intended for human consumption in accordance to the D. Lgs. 18/2023, civil and industrial wastewater, swimming pool water, surface water and groundwater, process water and other aqueous matrices, providing the necessary support for the monitoring of the quality, compliance with regulatory requirements and the management of the control plans.

Water intended for human consumption

Analysis for the monitoring of discharges and compliance with environmental permits.

Civil and industrial wastewater

Analysis for the monitoring of discharges and compliance with environmental permits.

Swimming pool water

Control parameters chemical and microbiological tests to ensure safety and hygiene.

Process water

Analysis of the production processes and quality control.

Legionella

The analysis for the search of Legionella in water systems and in artificial environments in which there may be a risk of proliferation.

Sampling site

Drawings done by qualified personnel in accordance with the procedures laid down.

Legionnaires ' disease: the control of water systems

The presence of Legionella is closely linked to the characteristics and management of water systems. Stagnation, traits that are rarely used, conditions favourable to the proliferation and some of the characteristics of the system can increase the risk of contamination.

For this reason, the control is not just about the single sample, but should be inserted into a wider assessment of the system and of its most significant.

GEO LAB performs sampling and analysis for the search of Legionella in the water, in support of the activities of verification and monitoring laid down in various contexts.

Sampling

Collection of samples at the points identified in function of the characteristics of the system and the purpose of the check.

Search Legionella

Laboratory analysis to check for the presence of Legionella in samples taken from the water system.

Monitoring

Scheduled inspections in time on the basis of the characteristics of the structure of the system and risk assessment.

Technical support

Assistance in the definition of the controls and in the interpretation of the analytical results, also in relation to the needs of the facility and any insights you need.

A reference for the control of water

From the verification of water intended for human consumption to the control of a drain or a water system, the analyses are defined on the basis of the matrix and of the purpose of the check.

GEO LAB provides analytical expertise and technical support to locate the verification of the most appropriate and correctly interpret the results.
